Sat down at this point due to beloved needing a rest (really) and stayed there for an hour. In the middle of the 2 burns is a stand of conifers and this is where 2 GSW and 1 Green were. Also the trees below us where the burn forks held the Spotted (didnt think it was at first but then watched it take several insects and return to the branch and eventually gave some good views). Carole also spotted a dipper in the Harthope Burn and a couple told us they had just seen a Tree Pipit. Also saw the Sandpipers (3), Wheatears (2) and a couple of deer.

JohnHowdonBloggerhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/17653529245467483723noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-1672042538983870537.post-17136788061123081992011-04-25T18:50:21.291+01:002011-04-25T18:50:21.291+01:00The Rouzels were just along (NW of) the wee 'f...The Rouzels were just along (NW of) the wee 'ford' across the burn, one went into a tree (I heard it calling as it entered) and as I looked I saw a second (male) just beyond. As I walked back to the road another male (it may have been the earlier one) flew in a huge circle out of the burn and back in at the entrance to it. So there was deffo 2 and may be 3.

Where was the Pecker and the Spotty? The Liverbirderhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/14668829451428360222noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-1672042538983870537.post-87365990174827212702011-04-25T17:38:52.244+01:002011-04-25T17:38:52.244+01:00Myself and No 1 Spotter were also at Harthope from...Myself and No 1 Spotter were also at Harthope from 9 till 2.
