Third Time Lucky!

Responded to the first addition to Birdguides' Northumberland page for over 56 hours with a diversion from an hour's sea watching to see the Wood Sandpiper.  No sign on arrival @ 18:45.  A Common Sandpiper was in the SW corner (here we go again, thinks I) but after a few good scans of the east shore - voila!

Spent an hour in Dipton Woods this afternoon looking for Pied Flycatchers (PF).  It was very quiet in terms of sights and sounds.  Green Woodpecker heard, Greater Spotted seen.  One Blue Tit nest and two Starlings' seen, aswell as a male Blackcap and all-too-brief glimpses of a solitary PF.
