West Hartford at day-break today was quiet at first. The usual Song Thrush, Skylark, Mipits greeted my alighting the Mirthmobile, and a 'dance' to the Flash disturbed two pairs of Grey Partridge. Nice!
The surprise was the sound of a Fieldfare from the top of the tall tree within the fenced-off mound area. And voila, the bird present before flying off WSW towards the brick house.
I heard one last week at dusk but nice (again!!) to confirm.
