Spent today as I have since 17 March, walking my ar$e off, often accompanied by my four-legged friend, in search of the elusive Chiffchaff. It remains elusive.
This morning, as the last three, flushed a Woodcock from the same 100 yards of disused local road.
Wessie and Arcot were quiet, as was Beacon Lane. I say quiet, I mean the usual suspects; finches, tits, corvids, pigeons and the rest.
Bassington had a likely candidate for P. collibita but when I returned for a stake-out minus the pup, nothing further. Did get two Willow Tits and yet another Woodcock!
