A Bland Day Out

Working south from East Chev at 7:30, I visited Druridge Pools (all three hides), the sea too, Cresswell, Spital Point, Bothal Pond, Backworth Pond and Seghill Landfill site.

If you never tire of Coot, Teal, Wigeon, Pintail, Shelduck, Oystercatcher, Redshank, Carrion Crow, common gull species and Goldeneye, I recommend the route.

But if you crave something to get the pulse rate up, I would suggest you look elsewhere.  Exacerbated by the rain and the poor quality hides that would at least have added some comfort to the tedium, today's trek was somewhat flat.

Always tomorrow tho'!  The landfill site has some potential if the path running north along its west edge gives good views (I ran out of time to explore).
